Osteopathic therapy

Osteopathy is a method of assessing, treating and preventing a wide range of health problems. Osteopaths use a combination of movement, stretching, targeted deep tissue massage and manipulation of muscles and joints to improve function, relieve pain and aid recovery.

The body has the natural ability to maintain itself and, by helping this process, an osteopath can promote restoration of normal function. The principle of osteopathy is that the well-being of an individual relies on the way that bones, muscles, ligaments, connective tissue and internal structures work with each other.

As part of our clinics, we now also have additional therapists available, including an acupuncturist, a massage therapist and a Pilates instructor.
What We Treat
Osteopathic diagnosis and treatments

Osteopathic diagnosis and treatments

Our osteopaths will take the time to understand their patient, and their unique combination of symptoms, medical history and lifestyles.  This helps us to make an accurate diagnosis of the causes of your pain or lack of normal function (rather than just addressing the site of the symptoms), and from that, to formulate a treatment plan that will achieve the best outcome for you.
Cranial Osteopathy

Cranial Osteopathy - what is it?

Cranial osteopathy is a treatment technique involving applying a subtle but specific pressure to promote relaxation, encouraging the release of tensions from the head and body. It is a very gentle, pain free technique and can be suitable for all ages.

To book an appointment call us, we have clinics in Torquay and in Brixham.
Fully qualified practitioners

Fully qualified practitioners

Osteopaths frequently work alongside other health professionals, such as GPs, nurses and midwives as well as alternative medical practitioners. The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) advises that GPs can safely refer patients to an osteopath for treatments, and The British Medical Association guidance for GPs, also states that doctors can refer patients to osteopaths.
